Swim Lessons Level 1/2: 2:30PM - Session 1

Beaumont Parks and Recreation has partnered with the Beaumont Unified School District to utilize the Beaumont High School (BHS) pool for youth swimming lessons!

Session 1: June 9 - 19
Session 2: June 23 - July 3
Session 3: July 7 - 17
Session 4: July 21 - 31
Monday-Thursday for 45 minutes, two-week sessions

Swim Evaluations: June 7th and July 5th
Swimmers registered for Level 1/2 and Level 3 must be evaluated and may be required to move courses. Students ages 3-5 enrolled in Preschool are exempt from the swim evaluations.

Preschool (Ages 3 - 5) – Introduction to independent pool safety, water entry and exit and basic swimming skills such as: kicking, bubble blowing, floating and underwater exploration.
Level 1/2 - Introduction to in-water safety skills such as water entry and exit, fully submerged face, jumping, kicking, arm movement, breath control, supported floating, rolling over and personal safety.
Level 3 – Students will learn to combine and coordinate arm motion, leg motion and rhythmic breathing, diving from the side of pool, back crawl, elements of breaststroke and fundamentals of treading water.

Levels 1-3: $50 per session

Please bring your own chair.
Children should wear sunscreen and bring their own googles and a towel.
The pool is open for swim lessons ONLY.

Learn to Swim Scholarship - Made possible by funding from First 5 Riverside County

Eligibility in our scholarship program gives children residing in Riverside County a 100% discount on program registration fees. Scholarships are offered on a first-come, first-served basis if funds are available.
Families may enroll by meeting one or more of the following criteria:
• Served by a First 5 Riverside County-funded program
• Live near an open body of water.
• Children of families eligible for public assistance, including but not limited to:
o CalWorks
o CalFresh
o Medi-Cal
o WIC
Applicants must register online, select “scholarship” and complete a paper application in person at the Albert A. Chatigny Sr. Community Recreation Center, 1310 Oak Valley Parkway. Application will be emailed - failure to complete the scholarship within 3 business days will result in removal from the selected session.
